In 2004, Parker Hiross’ Environment Management System was awarded with the ISO14001:2004 certification. Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance had already certified the company’s Quality System in 1993 according to the ISO 9001:1987 norm and has also recently confirmed this certification, following its developments into the 2000 edition (Vision 2000).

The ISO14001:2004 surely represents the international acknowledgement for the high respect Parker Hiross has always shown towards the environment. Hygiene and cleanliness in the work environment have always been a main feature in Parker Hiross, easily recognisable even by the thousands of visitors we host every year.

The choice towards technical solutions aiming at using low energy consumption components, has always represented a fundamental starting point for the R&D. Their industrialisation aims at improving the production processes, with short delivery times and significant cost reductions both for the company itself and the customers, and a general lower resources consumption for the environment, such as the choice of recycled materials for packaging.

The use of refrigerants with zero ozone depletion potential has been applied in the production of compressed air dryers since 1991. High energy saving, condensate management, oil-elimination and water re-utilisation (ie. no wastages): these are only some of the main features offered by the Parker Hiross products and which show its interest in the environment.

Environment protection is one of the most important challenges of the new millennium.

Parker Hiross SpA, operating in a global context, is conscious of its important role in the exploitation of natural resources, an heritage to preserve for future generations.

In agreement with Parker Hannifin group policy, Parker Hiross considers environment a key variable in its business management, from design and manufacturing, to product sale and utilisation, adopting an Environment Management System in conformity with UNI EN ISO 14001 standards and founded on the following principles:

Dialogue and collaboration
• To be open to dialogue and to co-operate with Parker Hiross employees, local Authorities and customers concerning the environment implications of Parker Hiross activities and improvement programs.

This Environmental Policy is available to the general public and represents the document of reference for all the initiatives that Parker Hiross undertakes regarding the environment protection. It will be periodically checked and updated by Parker Hiross management in order to guarantee the validity and the conformity to Company needs.

Parker Hiross management supports the deployment of this Environmental Policy and the observance of its principles, periodically setting objectives and targets.
